Cold Drawn Steel

The cold drawn is an industrial process that consisting of stretching and subsequent reducing the diameter of the material by passing the steel through a row of high-strength tungsten, this material is finally polished and cut depends of the customer needs.

We have the best technology for the manufacture of cold drawn steel, allowing us to deliver a product with excellent polished surface, special dimensions adapted to the requirements of industrial processes and ensure significant savings in production costs.

Centro Aceros  S.A. manufacture cold drawn steel in round, square, hexagonal and special shapes bars from 4 mm to 52 mm and distributes from 2 "to 3" in low carbon steels (SAE 1006-1020), medium carbon (SAE 1045) and high machinable steel (SAE12L14).

Advantages of our cold drawn steel
• Finish with a smooth, shiny surface without pores, roughness or scaling.
•Low dimensional tolerances according to the regulations ISO H11
• Improved mechanical properties and resistance by increasing the maximum flow limit and high resistance to fatigue.
• Improves the machinability, increasing the final quality of the parts.
• Material cut to customer requirements to reduce waste.

Some applications of our calibrated steel
• Vehicles and machines parts, which are not forced to large mechanical stress, such as axes, chain links, pins, cemented bushings, current bolts, flanges, clamps, shackles, pins, bolts, gears, couplings, trees , connecting rods, crankshafts, weapon pieces, etc.
• It is also used for the manufacture of agricultural tools, mechanical and handforged, such as axes, hoes, rakes, spades, hammers of various uses, clubs, among others.
